It took a walk around a detour to get here, but we’ve finally reached the post that exhibits Patricia Arquette naked in Lost Highway. And “exhibits” is certainly the correct word, with the corn-fed Midwestern actress flashing her naked body for more than a few unnecessary nude scenes. Now, don’t get me wrong. I absolutely love unnecessary nude scenes, and the more unnecessary the better. I could make a comment on how it’s nonetheless an unusual state of affairs for such a serious actress as Patricia Arquette, but then, she did spend so much of Human Nature running around the woods completely naked, albeit with a more-than-slightly off-putting fur mesh over her breasts and face (and everywhere else, I suppose).

As for the detour, that killer music video featuring Maya Hawke nude had just dropped while I was working on shining off this post, so I thought, with that being brand new and all of the fuss around Stranger Things, it made sense to push this one a place back so I could color correct Maya Hawke’s nude debut (kind of) immediately. Though as many readers may have guessed, I have been sitting on this partially-completed footage since I posted the Natasha Gregson Wagner nude scene from the same movie.

The irony of the pacing is that I watched Lost Highway last week precisely because I wanted to finally see the greatest Patricia Arquette nude scene in existence in its natural habitat. The great thing about that is that other than being surprised by the bonus nude scene, I was also pleasantly surprised by the fact that Patricia Arquette herself has multiple nude scenes in the film. I’ve only ever seen clips and screen captures from the one. You know the one I mean, don’t you? The scene where a heavy holds a gun to her head while she reluctantly strips down to her panties and walks over to a skeezy guy who is ordering the whole thing. Muy caliente, that.

But we get to see Patricia Arquette topless so many more times in Lost Highway. I’m a week divorced from watching the film itself (again, contrary to the original plan), so I can’t off the top of my head remember the exact sequence of nude scenes, but in no particular order, they include the following. Patricia’s character is standing in a robe, the camera filming her from the side. She drops her robe, revealing some great sideboob. Multiple sex scenes, including one in slow motion, giving us a great look at her tits wobbling like the waves of the ocean as Bill Pullman thrusts into her. One nude scene shot from below, giving us both underboob and sideboob at the same time as she turns around, finishing it all off with a bit of ass crack.

I am satisfied with how many times we saw Patricia Arquette’s boobs in Lost Highway, but by contrast, we sadly got no full frontal shots. Anyone out for a pussy shot would either have to go and hunt through the stray frames from Human Nature (that may or may not be a merkin) or simply look elsewhere. I watched Lost Highway for the first time recently for pretty much the reason you would expect, so I was naturally surprised (pleasantly, of course) with the bonus offering of Natasha Gregson Wagner naked. This is by no means the only chance we’ve ever gotten to see the Los Angeles native in the nude, but for what it’s worth, Lost Highway is the first film in which we see her naked.

Released in the same year were Quiet Days in Hollywood – which gave us our first look at her ass, but sadly nothing more unless you count some nippleless sideboob and a heavily obscured shower scene – and First Love, Last Rites, a film in which both she and her breasts had starring roles. The year after that gave use significantly more nudity from the actress through her roles in Modern Vampires and Another Day in Paradise, but 1998 ended and a titty hiatus began.

It took almost a whole decade and a half to see Natasha Gregson Wagner nude again, and that was when A Kiss and a Promise came out, which included a sex scene that itself included her bare boobs being rubbed. Which brings us full circle all the way back to this scene right here from Lost Highway, where she takes her sweater off in a car, no bra underneath, and gets her tits molested by the feller she’s with. It’s not a very long scene, but I would be remiss not to cover it on my visit of Lost Highway, even though the big draw for most is, of course, the infamous forced strip scene with Patricia Arquette.
