I’m sure you all knew that covering Eleanor Tomlinson naked was what the earlier post with Keira Knightley was building up to. The three straight male fans of Poldark had certainly been waiting to see Demelza Poldark nude throughout that show’s run, but unlike the rest of the BBC’s catalog and all of its relentless nudity, no such nude scenes materialized in Poldark. My knowledge of celeb nudity may be encyclopedic to an extent that is equal parts impressive and cringe-inducing, but I always do my research before any statements go live, and so the same was done to confirm that Colette does indeed feature the only Eleanor Tomlinson nude scene in existence. There appears to be a lot of confusion regarding this scene being of stand-up comedian Taylor Tomlinson nude. There are also references to Taylor Tomlinson’s work that refer to Eleanor and vice versa. I get that they share a surname, but… like… Anyway, in my research, I have concluded with certainty that at time of writing, this is well and truly the only footage of Eleanor Tomlinson topless in existence.

And now some more bad news regarding the Eleanor Tomlinson nude scenes in Colette. If you haven’t seen the film, you may think it’s just one quick one. If you have seen the film, you may think there are tons of them. If we’re talking about visible nudity, tragically, there is indeed only one. Of the multiple sex scenes between her and Keira Knightley and Dominic West, even if you scrub through frame by frame, you will get no slips – neither intended nor unintended as (we got in Ordinary Lies). Getting to enjoy Keira Knightley naked in Colette was a pleasant bonus. I couldn’t call it a surprise. I mean, the movie was famous for having a very brief but rather satisfying Keira Knightley nude scene, but it was famous for something else too. Now, it’s not often that a nude scene from a more famous star gets overshadowed by one from a less well-known actress in the same movie (although the inverse is an infamously frequent tragedy), but this film is an exception to that. Colette hosted not only the nude debut of Eleanor Tomlinson, but also what remains her only nude scene to date.

The apparent Keira Knightley nude scene in The Aftermath has been confirmed by the actress herself to have been the work of a body double. Her reasoning was given as not wanting to show her body after having children. I suspect that it was more to do with the sexual nature of the nudity in The Aftermath on the basis of the English actress’ first daughter being born in 2015, whereas filming for Colette began in 2017. Or perhaps it was a pregnancy thing with reference to her second child.

Further supporting this theory is the fact that the Keira Knightley lesbian sex scenes in Colette actually don’t show any nudity from her. Believe me; I scrubbed through them frame by frame to make sure. So when do we see Keira Knightley naked in the movie then? Her character, the eponymous Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette, is on stage and gets her dress ripped open as part of the play (or accidentally; who knows?), exposing one of her tits as she stands frozen, cheesing at the audience while they all get an eyeful. Where the hell do all of these lewd stage shows happen? Why do I never see this in real life?
