Keira Knightley Naked – Colette – Blu ray

Getting to enjoy Keira Knightley naked in Colette was a pleasant bonus. I couldn’t call it a surprise. I mean, the movie was famous for having a very brief but rather satisfying Keira Knightley nude scene, but it was famous for something else too. Now, it’s not often that a nude scene from a more famous star gets overshadowed by one from a less well-known actress in the same movie (although the inverse is an infamously frequent tragedy), but this film is an exception to that. Colette hosted not only the nude debut of Eleanor Tomlinson, but also what remains her only nude scene to date.

The Eleanor Tomlinson nude scene will get my full attention very soon. Or, realistically, if you’re not reading this post just very shortly after it’s been posted, it’s probably already been attended to. Look out for clickable links to enjoy that. Here, though, we will be focusing specifically on the footage we got of Keira Knightley topless. Just a quick note before we begin: Colette is by no means the only time we’ve seen Keira Knightley nude on screen, but it is the last as I write and will likely remain so. The Pirates of the Caribbean actress is presumed to have done one more nude scene after this one – namely 2019’s The Aftermath.

The apparent Keira Knightley nude scene in The Aftermath has been confirmed by the actress herself to have been the work of a body double. Her reasoning was given as not wanting to show her body after having children. I suspect that it was more to do with the sexual nature of the nudity in The Aftermath on the basis of the English actress’ first daughter being born in 2015, whereas filming for Colette began in 2017. Or perhaps it was a pregnancy thing with reference to her second child.

Further supporting this theory is the fact that the Keira Knightley lesbian sex scenes in Colette actually don’t show any nudity from her. Believe me; I scrubbed through them frame by frame to make sure. So when do we see Keira Knightley naked in the movie then? Her character, the eponymous Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette, is on stage and gets her dress ripped open as part of the play (or accidentally; who knows?), exposing one of her tits as she stands frozen, cheesing at the audience while they all get an eyeful. Where the hell do all of these lewd stage shows happen? Why do I never see this in real life? Truly, life is cruel, but we can make it just a little less cruel by enjoying the lovingly color corrected gallery of Keira Knightley nude in Colette below.

Hannah Murray Naked – Charlie Says – Blu ray

The last time we saw Hannah Murray naked was all the way back in 2018, when Charlie Says premiered at the Venice Film Festival. Well, the attendees of that festival did, at least. The rest of us plebs got a more public release the following year. Admittedly, much of the time between then and now has been fraught with COVID restrictions that seem to have gutted a lot of filmmaking efforts (but created the Covidcore subgenre as compensation), so perhaps it’s too early to say that we won’t be getting any more Hannah Murray nude scenes in the future, but it’s not looking positive in the context of the high frequency of them in the years preceding.

More frustrating is the fact that the Bristolian actress has been ramping up the gratuitousness of her nude scenes with each new one. On one hand, while it would be a shame for her nudity in Charlie Says to be a close to the chapter, she certainly ended it on one hell of a high note. And how could she not? After all, Charlie Says gets both of the coveted F-rated tags. The Charles Manson biopic was directed by the great Mary Harron, who was responsible for, among many others, the amazing nude scenes with Gretchen Mol in The Notorious Bettie Page. That movie, like this one, was written by the equal-parts witty and beautiful Guinevere Turner.

You see, we were always going to enjoy the Hannah Murray nude scenes in Charlie Says like no other since Guinevere Turner is no stranger to nude scenes herself. I don’t just mean writing them – as she did for The L Word and BloodRayne (the latter of which was a whole thing). I mean that Guinevere Turner has also acted in a number of nude scenes herself – pierced nipples and all. 1997’s Preaching to the Perverted has got to be the highlight of that, but by no means her only offering. But I digress.

The only at least partway graphic nudity we’d gotten from our actress here before she played Leslie Van Houten in Charlie Says would have to be summed up by Hannah Murray’s hot ass scene from 2015’s Bridgend, which incidentally was her nude debut. Her first frontal nude scene came a few years later in Detroit, in which her dress gets ripped off, flashing her nips for a scant few frames. I mean, yeah, technically we saw her boobs, but not for long and not without motion blur. Hannah Murray was in Game of Thrones, in which she played Gilly, but against all reason, she had no nude scenes throughout the entire run of the HBO series.

Although we never got to see Hannah Murray topless in Skins, the show that started her acting career, I have begun the process of scrubbing through for any potential slips. No, we’re obviously not going to get an epic full frontal nude scene like we got from Siwan Morris’ Angie, but I have to date caught a number of nipslips from actresses in the show who weren’t strictly supposed to have nude scenes, so there’s nothing inconceivable about Cassie Ainsworth flashing a cheeky tit at some point as well, even if it had flown under everyone’s radars (until now). On the Importance of Color Correction, featuring Scarlett Johansson

We’re going to be doing something a little different today. Don’t worry – you’ll still see tits. What’s different is that you’ll get a bit of a look at how and why the tits you see on the Faptuary look different to those you’ve seen elsewhere. If you’ve noticed this, either subconsciously or consciously, you’ve probably picked up on the fact that these deviations will vary from the subtle to the extreme. If you’re not quite sure what I’m talking about, then allow Scarlett Johansson to demonstrate in the video below.

“What am I looking at, Fapsmith?” Something a bit different to the regular workflow but which goes to explain it even better. It’s a scene from 2013’s Under The Skin, ScarJo’s nude debut and sadly her only nude scene to date. “And the three instances?” The left-most one is the shot as it appears in the original film. It is completely unedited. This is what you would be seeing if you just watch the movie as the filmmaker and the studio intended.

The videos that are sandwiched in the middle – the ones bearing the “2022” label – are from a color correction I did of the scenes from Under The Skin in March of last year. I remember being rather proud of it at the time. To be fair, it was quite an achievement. As you can see from the original footage, not only is the scene so dark that it’s surprising that there’s any detail there at all, but it’s also got some pretty extreme contrasts AND it’s so very, so exceptionally, so inhumanely red.

Suffice it to say, simply increasing brightness was never going to make it fappable, so I went through a couple of steps to get it looking the way it does. I was proud, you see, because the scene went from looking like shadows on top of shadows with the occasional searing red glow to a scene where you could actually get a fairly clear look at what’s going on, many details included. But the funny thing is that looking back on it now, it’s actually quite a mediocre color correction as far as how the end product looks, regardless of what came before it. Perhaps even calling it mediocre is too generous. Really, it’s a bit crap.

Which brings us to the videos on the right – the ones with the “2023” label. I spent a day and a half this week rejigging the color correction. I didn’t want to present something that was simply not as bad as the other one. That’s the kind of nonsense that modern elections hinge on. It’s also the sort of flawed thinking that made me feel like last year’s color correction on this scene was something to be proud of. Instead, I wanted to get the scene to actually look good even when viewed completely outside of context. As much as I could, anyway. It goes without saying that the footage I have access to (no comment on whatever’s sitting in a vault somewhere at StudioCanal) is severely limited in detail, which necessarily limits what I can pull out of it, but that doesn’t mean I have to reach a marginally acceptable level and then stop.

And so we have the latest result. We’ve got nipples that are actually identifiably a different color to Scarlett Johansson’s boob skin. We’ve got individual pubes on her nice, trimmed bush that can actually be made out rather than just appearing as a haze of pixels within a slightly darker cloud. We have skin texture that looks fairly smooth rather than having to sit underneath a layer of heavy grain, be it because it’s a horrendously amplified part of the original footage or because it was added to mask severe distortion (or both, as the case was for the 2022 edit). We’ve got less blur and more fine edges. Make sure to check out the image gallery at the bottom of this link for the much less compressed 4K captures to see the difference at its total extent. I fully expect that in another year, I’ll look back on this version and think that it’s outdated too, but until then, I’ll keep on honing my craft.

I’ll also keep on applying this ever-improving skillset to every nude scene I work on, and in doing so, offering the best views you could feasibly get from whatever passes through my ‘puter.

Of course, this all comes at a price. No, not for you; for me.

I’m going to neither bore you, dear reader, nor denigrate myself by begging, but I will say that as of last November, I’ve lost my career over this (thanks, HR) in a way that is, because of the mechanism through which it was done, permanent. Between hosting, subscriptions to the software used for the work, buying hardware to keep up to date with it during a silicon shortage, and getting hold of rare films that I can’t stream through any of the main services or borrow the blu rays off of a friend, not only has this cost me my income, but it’s also adding considerable expenses.

Joyce Hyser Naked – Just One of the Guys – Blu ray

Joyce Hyser naked in the magical boob reveal scene from Just One of the Guys has got to be one of the defining moments of the 80s. Or maybe I’m thinking of it backward, and the 1980s just produced content like that because it was emblematic of the era. Off the top of my head, I’m reminded of Betsy Russell pulling her top off to flash her tits in Tomboy, which incidentally came out the exact same year as this film did – 1985. Same energy and same fap potential. What I would give to live eternally in the 80s.

The funny thing about the Just One of the Guys nude scene is that even though it has achieved iconic status, it’s not exactly long. I’m not even sure that it covers a full two seconds, but I do know that the short time it covers has made many a teenage boy’s viewing experience since the film came out. In fact, the nude shot was extremely short by design. In the commentary track for the movie, Joyce Hyser did say that when the movie was being filmed, freezeframe wasn’t a thing that people had access to, and knowing that it would become available would have, to quote her verbatim, “definitely made a big difference in my decision about whether to do this or not.” Lucky us, sitting here in this blessed future.

For those who don’t know what this Joyce Hyser nude scene is all about, we need to take a step back and describe what the movie is about. Joyce plays Terri/Terry Griffith, a high school girl out of Phoenix-or-Glendale, Arizona who transfers to another school in order to pretend to be a guy. As so often happens in 80s movieland, whimsical hilarity ensues. Part of this whimsical hilarity is Terri getting a best friend whom she has a sort of crush on, but he thinks she’s a guy. In a frustrated effort to prove to him that she’s definitely not rocking a penis down below, she rips her shirt open to reveal her majestic tits. And how lucky we are, since the actress revealed (pun intended) in the commentary track that she originally wasn’t going to do an actual nude flash, having prepared a bodysuit. This moment being immortalized on video is super important because this did end up being Joyce Hyser’s only nude scene.

And like with so many of the best nude scenes in cinematic history, the Just One of the Guys boob reveal scene gets both of the F-rated tags. Lisa Gottlieb is credited as the director, but she has revealed on multiple occasions that she was also a writer on the film, even though the studio cheated her out of the credit. The joke’s on them, because even though Lisa didn’t get all of the fame and money from an official writer’s credit, she got honored as such on the Faptuary, which at least two or three people might say is even better.

I’d be remiss not to mention the Joyce Hyser bikini scene at the pool near the beginning of the film. Although there’s no nudity in it, it acts as a sort of foil to the nude scene, showing a much more feminine side of the Terri. Also, that body is amazing, even though the actress said that she wasn’t feeling great that day, commenting that she felt that her “belly’s a little poofy.” Personally, I have no complaints in the fappability department. Unfortunately, this is the only time and place we’ll ever likely see Joyce Hyser naked. I think a whole lot of people were expecting to see both Joyce and Nichole Hiltz nude in 2003’s Act of Revenge, but alas, that did not materialize, and even that was two full decades ago. But let’s not dwell on what was not and instead enjoy what was, and that is the incredible Joyce Hyser nude scene from Just One of the Guys.

Catherine McCormack Naked – 28 Weeks Later – Blu ray

This is not the only time we’ve seen Catherine McCormack naked. It’s not the first Catherine McCormack nude scene, nor the longest, nor the most graphic, nor the most gratuitous. The reason I’m doing this micro post to cover the nude scene in 28 Weeks Later is because, as a shameless zombie movie fanatic (>inb4 the Infected aren’t zombies and 28 Days/Weeks Later aren’t zombie films), I’ve watched it a number of times, and in those number of times, I’d only picked up that there might have been a nip flash the previous time and confirmed that there were plenty of shots with nudity in what technically passes as a nude scene the last time.

OK, “plenty” is a bit rich. There are exactly two shots in which Catherine McCormack’s right nipple appear (we have yet to confirm the continued existence of her left nipple at the time of the movie’s production). But that’s still one more than I thought might be until relatively recently and two more than most people – myself included for most of the time since the film came out – realize. This is also the only nude scene in 28 Weeks Later, which deviates from its prequel, 28 Days Later, which includes the infamous shots of Cillian Murphy’s dick.

So how have they slipped in these shots of Catherine McCormack nude without it being obvious? Well, that’s the funny thing. It actually is quite obvious. Without dropping too many spoilers, Catherine’s character Alice finds herself stripped naked and hosed down in a standing shower by a group of soldiers, as one does. The scene lasts roughly half a minute, and in every single shot of her, she is wearing no clothes. Tactical camera work and positioning of props and body parts were used to cover up most of the explicit bits, but some did leak through. That said, I’m not going to attach the infamous Unscripted Nudity tag since the second of the two shots seems quite clearly intentional, even if the jury’s still out on the first. Again, not overly clear if you’re watching the movie for the story and not paying too much attention, but if you have keener eyes, and especially if you scrub through frame by frame, you’ll end up with the lovely gallery of Catherine McCormack nude in 28 Weeks Later below.
